Read headlines about Natalie Portman’s recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, and you would be forgiven for thinking that the 2010 Oscar winner appointed herself as Israel’s chief critic by virtue of her cinema stardom – a move that would not be so unusual for most Hollywood elites.
