SBC Condemns BDS Movement

For the first time in its history, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) passed a resolution condemning the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement (BDS) at its annual convention in St. Louis, Mo. on June 14-15.
“We support the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign state and reject any activities that attack that right by promoting economic, cultural, and academic boycotts against Israel,” the resolution states. “The [BDS] Movement seeks to isolate the nation of Israel economically and socially.”
